Usage & Dosage
What is Buspirone?
Buspirone is an anxiolytic medication primarily used to treat generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). It works by affecting certain natural chemicals in the brain, particularly serotonin, to help reduce the symptoms of anxiety such as fear, tension, and irritability.
How to use Buspirone
Take this medication by mouth as directed by your physician, usually 2 to 3 times daily. It is critical to take Buspirone consistently: either always with food or always without food. This ensures your body absorbs the medication the same way each time. Avoid consuming large amounts of grapefruit juice, as it can increase the concentration of the drug in your system.
